Christians of Salima Living Waters Church have said pastors can easily reach out to distant places with the gospel if they have reliable means of transport.

The sentiments were expressed on Sunday when the Salima Living Waters congregation handed over to their pastor Washington Baloyi a vehicle worth K1.6 million as one way of easing his movements when spreading the gospel.
Speaking after the ceremony, church administrator Elarton Thawani said pastors are doing a good job in bringing people closer to God through preaching, but lack of resources hinders their good work.
“I would like to urge other churches to emulate this example by doing something for their pastors. It is not about buying a vehicle only. There are many things church members can provide to their pastors such as building a decent house or conducting fasting and prayers,” said Thawani.
Baloyi said the vehicle will enable him to work with ease because, previously it was difficult for him to travel to do God’s work, including going to pray for the sick and to conduct crusades.
“I thank church members for what they have done, buying a beautiful car like this one is a blessing from God. Frankly speaking, I am glad that many souls will be saved since I will not have problems in reaching out to them,” he said. n
